Returned from 3 serious knee injuries (ACL ruptures)
As an elite athlete, you know the grind—injuries, setbacks, and the mental battles that come with them. I’ve been there. After three ACL ruptures and years of rehab, I’ve learned what works, what doesn’t, and how to come back stronger than ever. With over seven years of coaching experience in Australian Women’s Rugby 7s and AFLW, alongside completing a Master’s in Exercise Science (S&C), I know how to help athletes recover and reach their peak performance.
At 17, I tore my first ACL after making it to Nationals for NSW. The dream I had worked so hard for was suddenly taken away. While the world kept moving, I stayed stuck. But instead of giving up, I became determined to return stronger.
I didn’t just want to get back to where I was—I wanted to be better. That drive pushed me through rehab, getting me back on the court to play premier league netball and make the Giants Netball Academy. But just months later, my other ACL ruptured. This time, the road ahead was even harder.
The rehab was brutal—nine months off running, complications, and an 18-month recovery. But when I returned, it wasn’t long before disaster struck again: another ACL rupture during a Giants Academy match. I knew what lay ahead, but this time, the hardest part wasn’t physical—it was mental.
Rebuilding my mindset became the real challenge. I had to trust my body again, even though doubt lingered. Through it all, I realized that what I truly wanted wasn’t just to play netball again—it was to enjoy it. That shift in perspective changed everything.
Those injuries became the best thing that ever happened to me. They taught me resilience, mental toughness, and how to trust the process. As a Strength and Conditioning coach with training from UTS, the ASCA, and ECU, plus years of hands-on experience, I now use these lessons to guide athletes through their own recovery and performance journeys.
